Dunblane 30th Anniversary

March 13th 2026 marked the 30th anniversary of the Dunblane Primary School shootings. Sixteen children and their teacher were killed with a legally-held handgun that morning, while fifteen others were injured.

The atrocity led to the banning of handguns in Great Britain, following an extraordinary campaign by the bereaved families and others.

As we remember the victims and all those affected by the tragedy,  we reflect on the importance of the ban in keeping Britain safe and the need to remain vigilant in identifying new threats to public safety, including licensed shotguns and 3d-printed and  converted firearms.
