Support Us

Gun control works. We know this, but we are a small charity and welcome support from those who share our concerns. Whether by donating or campaigning, there are many ways to get involved.

Keep up-to-date with our activities by following us on Twitter or LinkedIn, or Contact Us asking to join our mailing list to receive our monthly review of gun incidents and Press Releases.

Our work depends upon grants and donations from the public, if you are able to help we welcome donations using PayPal. If you are a registered UK tax payer please complete the Gift Aid Declaration to enable us to claim 20% on your donation from HMRC .

Thank-you.

Here are some actions you can take now to support gun control.

Contact Police and Crime Stoppers to raise concerns about:-

1. The behaviour, health or state of mind of someone with access to a gun, causing risk to themselves or others. Or the failings of governance, administration and security of a gun club or shooting range.

Contact Members of Parliament, Regional Mayors, Police and Crime Commissioners to raise concerns about:-

2. Public money used to subsidise gun owners with the cost of acquiring their firearms licences to the tune of around £40 million per year.

3. The sale of airguns to anyone over 18 in England and Wales, with no background checks. This enables criminals, legally banned from owning guns, to buy airguns that are regularly involved in fatal and non-fatal criminality, and ‘child on child’ tragedies. Airgun owners in Scotland require a licence.

4. The use of airguns in acts of animal cruelty, causing harm to pets, farm animals, and protected species. Licensing airguns in England and Wales would stop impulse buying, restricting sales to those who had been background checked before being granted a licence.

Contact national and local Scout Leaders, to raise concerns about:-

5. The promotion of airgun shooting by the Scouting Association. The Scout website suggests “you can set up a safe airgun shooting range in a lot of Scout meeting places”. Volunteers have expressed concerns that shooting lethal guns is dangerous, and incompatible with Scout values of integrity, respect and taking care of others.

Contact Councillors, journalists and community groups to raise concerns about:-

6. Inappropriate planning applications for airsoft skirmishing sites, shooting ranges, gun shops, and

home-based gun traders.

Contact Councillors, journalists, police, and Crime Stoppers to raise concerns about:-

7. The sale of guns or imitation guns at markets, car boot sales, on social media sites, and stall holders giving imitation or toy guns as prizes at fairs, community events, and charity fund-raising days.

Contact retailers, newsagents, hospitality providers and hoteliers to raise concerns about:-

8. Inappropriate displays and copies of publications promoting, normalising and glamourising guns.

By working together, in the interests of public safety, we can make sure that gun violence has no place in the UK and continue to shield against gun-related tragedies that occur all too frequently in schools, colleges, workplaces and malls in the United States.

Please support us to set a global standard on gun control and build a safer society for ourselves and loved ones. We would love to hear about your activities, the responses you receive, and any challenges faced.
