James Worton-Griffiths and Shaun McEvoy stole an imitation double-barrelled shotgun from the house of a friend before attempting to rob a shop in shop in Portswood, Southampton, in July 2009 (see Incidents). Both men pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to rob and possession of an imitation firearm with intent. The men have been jailed for three years and four years respectively.

A man who sparked a security alert when he threatened to send someone armed with a shotgun to a nursery school in Coupar Angus, Perthshire, in May 2009 to settle a row has admitted breaching the peace. Alexander Donaldson was fined £360.

Lucas Bailey has admitted possessing a stun gun, a knife and class C drugs at his home in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. The stun gun was bought from Wisbech market according to his solicitor. Bailey was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and pay costs.
