Pedestrians have been targeted by a motorcyclist with a pillion passenger who pointed a gun at passers-by in two similar incidents in Seaford and Crawley, Sussex. Two men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

Two men have allegedly robbed a post office in Welling, Kent using a shotgun and a sledgehammer. The pair demanded cash but escaped in a car without stealing anything. No shots were fired.

Police have arrested 258 people and seized a number of airsoft guns in efforts to tackle organised crime across South Lanarkshire. £350,000 was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act, five tanning salons were fined for operating without a licence and a carwash and another tanning salon were closed.

A man has been shot in the arm near a sheltered housing complex in Nottingham. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are reported not to be life threatening. At least one window at the complex was shattered in the shooting. No arrests have been made.

A 19-year-old man has been assaulted by a man with a gun on a street in Luton, Bedfordshire. The assailant tried to kiss and touch the victim inappropriately and threatened him with a gun when the teenager pushed him away. The victim escaped and police have appealed for witnesses.

Four men have been charged for their suspected involvement in a gun and grenade attack which killed a 46-year-old man in Clayton, Greater Manchester in August. The charges include murder, attempted murder, causing an explosion, and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

An employee was threatened by a man with an air rifle in an armed robbery of a shop in Wrexham, Clwyd. The assailant threatened to kill the staff member, but the victim did not hand over any money and the attacker fled with bottles of alcohol. Police arrested a 20-year-old soldier, who had been absent without leave, on suspicion of robbery.

A six-year-old cat has been shot in the leg with a pellet gun in Littletown, West Yorkshire. The pellet could not be removed as it was embedded too close to her spine, and she has been left with a limp.

A gun was allegedly fired during a disturbance in a busy marketplace in the centre of Birmingham. Six men who were believed to have been involved in the fight were arrested, and police have appealed for information about two others who were caught on CCTV. One of the two men is believed to have fired the gun.
