A woman called police after her ex-partner put his hand on a gun in his pocket during an argument with her at a petrol station in Haverhill, Suffolk. Firearms officers were sent to the scene and discovered the man had a BB gun. He was cautioned for carrying the imitation weapon in a public place.

Declan Marshall has been jailed for six years and four months after he and another man threatened two people with a gun and two knives at their home in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Marshall held the knife to one victim's face while his accomplice threatened the victim's girlfriend with the gun and a knife in an attempt to extract payment for cannabis. The assailants then forced the victims to the wall and to the ground and stole £250, two mobile phones, a laptop, and a games console leaving the victim with minor cuts to his head and arm.

Brian Fraser, 63, has pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm without a licence and been found not guilty of causing grievous harm with intent after a woman with whom he had had a relationship was shot in the bowels and pelvis as she tended horses at a farm in Benenden, Kent. The unlicensed single-barrelled shotgun and some cartridges were found hidden between two hay bales on land belonging to the former hunt-master during the investigation into the shooting.

Firearms officers were sent to the centre of Thornaby-on-Tees, North Yorkshire after police received reports of a man with a gun. A 14-year-old male was found to be carrying a BB gun and arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He was released after receiving a caution.

A man with a gun assaulted two employees during a robbery at a taxi office in Bath, Somerset. He punched the manager in the face and threatened him with the gun and stole cash before approaching another member of staff and pointing the gun at his head. The second victim threw office items at his attacker and gave chase when he fled with stolen cash. The victim suffered severe chest pains and was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a severe panic attack brought on by the incident.

Faisal Aziz, Razwan Mirza, Mubashar Sarwar, and Nadim Bashir Ahmed have been jailed for a total of 25 years for conspiring to bring an illegal .455 revolver and ammunition into Sheffield, South Yorkshire. They were arrested after Aziz was stopped by police while under surveillance and found to have the gun and bullets in the boot of his car.

Nicholas Brown has been given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 costs for threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend with a gun after their relationship ended in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. After she left he sent her a number of threatening texts, including messages saying, "Watch your back" and "Gun Ready. You're doomed."

A pizza delivery driver was attacked by two men with a realistic imitation firearm after they placed a bogus pizza order to a street in Swindon, Wiltshire. They threatened him with the gun and took the pizza. Firearms officers were called and two men have been arrested and charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm.
