Research by charity Cats Protection, as reported by the Uttoxeter Advertiser, has shown a rise in the number of fatal airgun attacks on cats in the Midlands. It is estimated around 300 cats are shot each year in the country, and over 40% of vets report seeing more than five cats a year with airgun injuries many of which have to be euthanised due to their injuries.
